delightful selection of late 1800's prints is showcased in this unusual quilt top. The design is a really original combination of Pinwheel blocks and wonderful little postage-stamp 13-patches, a block you rarely see worked on such a charmingly tiny scale. Though the quilt top has obviously been washed and handled, the appeal of those unusual and richly varied little blocks remains considerable, all the more so for their unusual pairing with the pinwheels.

Construction
The blocks a mix of hand and machine piecing and the longer construction seams are machine-pieced.

Condition
The quilt top's condition is strong, but there are scattered fabrics with thinning along printed lines, some weakened and popped short seams here and there throughout, one little through hole and then that seam along one side of block at the bottom edge where it was resewn with some of the seam allowance exposed on the front! None of these flaws is at all glaring and the delightful and very unusual top presents just beautifully, imperfections and all.
